Well, this is a tricky question, and the answer depends on several factors. So, let us consider few simple examples and analyze things in detail.
Let us assume that you’ve an SEO blog (like this one), and you frequently write valuable SEO tips for your readers. At the same time, you own an auto blog, a gadget review blog, several technology blogs, an online dating blog, a programming blog, a travel blog, a movie review blog, and a music blog.
Therefore, links coming from your technology blog to the rest of the blogs may be considered as links from a link farm. Basically, there’s a very thin line between heavy cross linking, and creating a link farm.
Ideally, you should not create more than 2-3 links in a blog post of say 300-500words. However, if you’ve highly relevant articles to link to, you may even consider linking to up to 5-6 other web pages.
But, if you insert 8-10 links in every other blog post that you create, you’re creating a link farm unknowingly!
So, the bottom-line is that you should consider inter-linking pages of your blogs only if they share common information, not just because they’re all yours!

Well explained my friend. It is true that Google is treating these non-related niche backlinks as Spam backlinks. You won’t rank high with these backlinks. But wondering if these backlinks will bring your site down or not.
